We have many questions that frequently appear on our ‘contact us’ page, so we have compiled a list of the most frequent to help solve any unanswered questions you might have. However, if there is a question or topic we have not covered, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • Why should I book The Time Bandits
    We specialise in function and event entertainment and have been together for over 18 years, performing up and down the country, either on our own or supporting other top professional entertainers. We know how to get a party going and pride ourselves on our professionalism at all levels.
  • How do I book The Time Bandits
    Please call the number 07815 800261 and talk to one of our booking agents. Alternatively, submit a custom form via our contact page and we will get back to you ASAP.
  • How much space do you need
    Our ideal set up space is about 18ft x 9ft but we have squeezed into lesser space and smaller type venues. If possible we will visit the proposed venue to get a feel of the area/room.
  • How is it best to time our event with the band’s performance
    The band will arrive 2 hours before your event to set up and we will work to your agenda. However we do recommend at weddings, that any ceremonies or food be completed before we start with our live performance.
  • Can I pick specific tracks from the band’s set list
    If there are certain songs in our set list that you would love to hear, then let us know so we can include them when we build our set list for your specific event.
  • Where will you travel to
    We are prepared to travel anywhere. However, our prices include a mileage zone of up to 20 miles out side of Hereford city centre. Once past this we would have to discuss expenses which would be in addition to the main package prices.
  • Can I see you play live
    We very rarely play public gigs due to our busy schedule. However, we do support a local charity every year and perform for that charity (which is usually a public event). We also play at selected local wedding fayres to promote ourselves and give potential couples the chance to see us live.
  • Will you learn our special song
    Yes. If the track is within our band remit and abilities we would be glad to perform this for you.
  • Are you able to provide a DJ in between and after your sets
    Yes. Some of our packages include our virtual DJ to ensure you have entertainment from the word go. We do also offer an additional add-on to include our virtual DJ playing late to ensure your party continues into the small hours.
  • Can we use your sound system for any speeches
    Yes. Just let us know what you require and we will make it happen.
  • Do you have lighting
    Yes. We have differing levels of lighting and effects which changes with each package.
  • How long do you play for
    We can offer you either 2x60 minute sets or 3x40 minute sets.
  • What time do you start and finish
    Our job starts 2 hours before your event starts and the finish time depends on the level of package or add-ons you have opted for. We do like to call time by 2am if possible as we have to break down equipment, and most venues’ licences have expired for the night. We can start our live sets as and when you like. However, our experience tells us that some formulas work well for certain events and we try to stick to those tried and tested formulas.
  • How long do you take to setup
    Approximately 2 hours. PA and Disco get set up first and should be ready to go after 45 minutes. However we do like to get things right first time so we try not to rush.
  • Can I provisionally book you and how do I pay
    Yes. All bookings are pencilled into the diary until a 20% (non-refundable) deposit has been paid. The remainder of the balance must be paid before the start of the event. We also like to have a basic music union contract set-up (which we will provide) between ourselves and you (our employer) to ensure peace of mind for both parties. If paying the balance on the day of the event, we do prefer cash, but deposits or balance clearance can be by either cheque, Paypal or bank transfer.
  • What will the band wear
    We always dress for the occasion or the specific dress code for the event. Whether it be black tie, wedding or beach party, we love to get involved and fit in.
  • Does the band have PAT & PLI
    Yes. All of our equipment has been PAT tested within the last 12 months and we have public liability insurance.
